Jack International Fasteners was established in August 1981. The Company is owned by Mr. Merv Jack who was previously
employed as Works Manager by Ajax GKN, (which was a Screw and Bolt Manufacturer) having started there as an Apprentice
Fitter and Turner engineer, spending a total of 18 years with the Company.
JIF Ltd. first started Manufacturing Screws from the garage of Merv's father and after 18 months of operation the
business was moved to Onehunga, then in 2002 moved to the present site in East Tamaki Auckland.
In 1991 JIF Ltd. sold its Manufacturing Plant and became an Importer and Distributor of Stainless Steel screws for
the Aluminum Joinery Industry and Steel Screws for the Kitchen Cabinet Makers.
We now use Contract Warehouse LTD; for warehousing and distribution, which has increased our efficiency. A staff of
fifty two in the warehouse and three Customers Support Team, also seven Sales Consultants throughout New Zealand.
The main strategy for the marketing and distribution of all JIF products is through Sales Consultants who have a great
desire to establish a strong market share, which has proven more cost efficient than employing our own
Sales Representatives. This policy is successful through the support of a superior computer system, backed up by the
use of, E-Commerce Web Site, (known as "eJIF") Cellular Phones, Email, and overnight courier system anywhere in New Zealand.
JIF is now in a strong position to change the market through developing and designing special screws for the Aluminum,
Kitchen Cabinet Makers and Plumbing Industries. Through the development of eJIF, we are able to supply other product
such as, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Food, Toilet Paper, Gifts, Cleaning Products, Jewellery, Health and Wellness Products,
Clothing, etc.
